In 2009, I earned my real estate license. Not because I wanted a career in real estate sales. I simply wanted access to properties and the chance to earn commissions on my own deals.

That practical decision changed everything.

Investors started reaching out for help. One turned into many. Before long, I was guiding families through buying rental properties full time from 2010 through 2018. Those years shaped me. I watched everyday people step into ownership, reduce financial pressure, and start designing lives they were proud of.

The Discovery That Changed Everything

Somewhere in those early years, a CPA shared something that shifted everything I thought I knew about taxes and wealth building.

If Travis or I materially participated in managing our rentals, and we kept a log of our hours, we could use depreciation losses to offset active income.

That insight changed our lives.

Today, Travis and I own over 100 rentals across 8 states. I share that only for context. Because this isn't about me. It's about what becomes possible for you.

Naturally, I shared this strategy with my clients. And I watched it transform families. Parents used tax savings to invest more. To create margin. To build security.

But One Problem Never Went Away

You had to prove your hours.

And almost no one kept a consistent log.

That moment stuck with me.

I knew real estate investors needed a simple way to track their participation. Something built specifically for them. Something that would remove the fear of not having enough documentation.

Building REPS Time

But I wasn't a developer. So for years, the idea sat quietly in the background. Until Meri joined our team.

Meri lives in Tirana, Albania. She started as an assistant to our Director of Operations, Stefan. Over time, we discovered she was also a trained developer. She had never built a mobile app before. But she was thoughtful. Capable. And she cared deeply about solving meaningful problems.

So we decided to build REPS Time together.

It wasn't quick or easy. There were bugs. Rejections. Redesigns. Learning curves. Long days. And even longer weeks.

But we kept going because the mission mattered.
